Located on the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Ultimo campus, UTS Gallery & Art Collection presents the work of contemporary artists and designers through an annual public exhibition program complemented by curated events, publications, and learning programs for high school and tertiary students.
The Centre for Social Justice & Inclusion is a gateway for partners and communities to engage with the university's resources and expertise to maximise social impact.

we are the mainstream is a collective of First Nations, Women of Colour and Gender Diverse folk of Colour, created to elevate our experiences, celebrate our stories, advocate for our causes and educate ourselves and the wider community on how to do authentic cross-community solidarity by using whatever privilege and power we may hold. We aim to create safe spaces where we can have courageous conversations and challenge systems and structures of power.

The Refugee Art Project
Refugee Art Project is a not-for-profit community art organisation which Since 2011 has engaged with people who came to Australia seeking protection from such countries as Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, the Kurdish regions of the Middle East, Syria, Sri Lanka and Myanmar. In a spirit of collaboration, artworks are curated and shown in public exhibitions, online and in self- published zines. The intention is to facilitate the agency and self expression of people of an asylum seeker or refugee background, to deepen public understanding about the asylum seeker issue and the realities of Australia’s detention regime.

The collective Aparecidos Políticos is an activist art group created by artists, activists and academics aiming to raise awareness and resist the heritages of dictatorial repression within the current Brazilian democracy. Relying on aesthetic-political practices such as urban interventions, escraches, performances, independent publications, and radio-guerrilla actions the group intend to create insurrectional experiences and promote human rights. Active since 2010, the collective Aparecidos Políticos has been exhibiting and discussing their works within artistic, activist, and academic domains, committed to exploring the possibilities offered by the interplay between art and politics.
